GoalThe goal of this project is to provide care, training, discipleship and social reintegration for vulnerable children in Goma.
SummaryThis project seeks to raise $95,000 for start-up costs the first year, and then $44,500 annually in order to provide care for vulnerable children living in the streets of Goma in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
DescriptionThis project will provide the funding needed to support, train, and disciple vulnerable children living in the streets of Goma. The project will be implemented in full-time, three month sessions; the children will receive short-term relief (food, clothing and medical care) alongside trauma counseling, education, and life-skills training. The longer-term goal is to help the children return to, and be accepted by their families, extended families or foster families. The project’s start-up costs the first year are about $95,000 with on-going yearly expense of $44,500.
Suggested Gifts$1,000 can provide psychological counseling for 10 children for 9 months $5,000 will pay for home visits and reintegration of 20 children $10,000 can provide operational costs for 3 months to reintegrate children into homes
