The phrase “hit the ground running” accurately describes the beginning of our one-year US/PR home assignment. We are busy scheduling visits and engaging in opportunities to share about Christ’s work in Hungary. It is exciting and fulfilling for us. Yet, it is a major transition for our family.

A few months ago, we would not have guessed that our family would be connected to three different universities. Rachel and her new husband, Blake Schinzler, attend Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. Sarah and Elizabeth are pursuing their Bachelor’s degrees at the University of Debrecen in Hungary. All while Jon, Amanda, and Andrew are living on campus at Judson University in Elgin, Illinois (and we are so thankful for the hospitality that has graciously been given to us by Judson!)

During this time of transition, we depend on the blessing found in Romans 15:13, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Ministry continues in Debrecen, Hungary, too! Soon, new students from all over the world will be arriving to begin their studies at the University of Debrecen. Leaders there are ready to welcome them. We pray they will find the hope of Jesus at the English Bible Study and the International Baptist Church.

Please pray:

Thank you for your continued prayer and financial support. Your partnership in the gospel is lifting the hope of Jesus in Debrecen Hungary!
